Getting started
Three steps, about a minute
1. Create the account — you, not your child
K12Buddy accounts are created and held by a parent or teacher. Sign up with your email or Google account, then confirm on the consent checkbox that you are the adult responsible for the student and that you consent to their use of K12Buddy. Children do not create their own accounts.
2. Add your students
Add each child with their grade level so the tutor pitches explanations correctly — kindergarten reads very differently from 11th grade.
3. Hand over the homework
Your child can type a question in any of the six core subjects, or photograph the worksheet and the tutor will read it and walk through the working. You can follow everything from your parent dashboard.

There are no tiers to compare right now. Every family gets:
- AI tutoring in six core subjects — math, science, English, history, computer science, and foreign languages — adapted K–12
- Homework scanning: photograph a worksheet and get step-by-step help on it
- Parent dashboard with activity review, data export, and account deletion
- XP, levels, streaks, badges, and daily challenges that reward practice
- Offline-first chat with history — conversations sync when you're back online
- Content moderation of both what students write and what the AI answers
Troubleshooting
Quick fixes
The tutor isn't responding
Check your internet connection and try again — the app works offline for reading and reviewing, but new answers need a connection. If it persists, email support@cienrios.com with the time it happened.
I can't sign in
Try signing out and back in, and check you're using the parent email the account was created with. Forgot the password? Use the reset link on the sign-in screen.
A homework photo won't scan
Retake the photo in good light with the page flat and filling the frame. Clear handwriting and printed worksheets scan best.
I want to export or delete our data
Both are built into the parent dashboard. You can also email support@cienrios.com and we'll handle it for you.
Something the tutor said seems off
AI explanations can occasionally be wrong. Every conversation is visible in your dashboard — if you see something that concerns you, send it to support@cienrios.com and a person will review it.
